GV, Schneider Electric to Provide Smart Solutions

“With the Middle East set to spend heavily on upgrading power grids in the coming decade, we have a rare opportunity to reduce emissions, promote interoperability and bring much-needed digital technology, efficiency and productivity to aging infrastructure,” said Mohamed Shaheen, Cluster President, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, Schneider Electric.

Shaheen added, "We are witnessing the rise of smart, resilient and future-ready grids at a time when the world is facing a growing energy crisis."

Saudi Arabia Smart Grid Conference served as a platform to make decisions that promote a cleaner, greener and more electric energy transition, he said

Smart grids – electricity networks that use automation and other advanced technologies – are playing an important role in government efforts to adopt clean energy and tap into the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Against this backdrop, Schneider Electric highlighted the products and digital solutions companies can use to achieve energy efficiency.

Central to this is the EcoStruxure, an IoT-enabled, plug-and-play, open, interoperable architecture platform for homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure and industries. The EcoStruxure grid solutions are designed to increase efficiency for more sustainable and resilient energy networks.

With more than 2,500 participants and 70 exhibitors, the Saudi Arabia Smart Grid Conference convenes the Kingdom’s government, business, scientific, technological communities.

It covers all aspects of the production, transportation and distribution of electricity, gathering insights from industry professionals, manufacturers and suppliers to drive change.
