Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has obtained a license for establishing its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Saudi Arabia from the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Commerce in the Kingdom.

This expansion reflects Schneider Electric's commitment to fostering growth and enhancing service capabilities across the region.

Saudi Arabia’s Regional Headquarters Program was established under the Vision 2030 between the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh.

Overseeing adjacent markets in Bahrain, Yemen and Pakistan, RHQ program affirms Schneider Electric’s long term commitment to the Kingdom and represents a strong intent to diversify and grow the regional economy and support talent in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Mohammed Shaheen, Cluster President of Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia and Yemen, commented: “Operating as a regional headquarter for Saudi Arabia marks a significant milestone in our journey of growth and expansion in the region. This move builds on our regional operations, and empowers our capabilities to contribute positively to Saudi Arabia’s growing economy.”

With the new regional headquarter license in KSA, Schneider Electric aims to further expand on investing in local talent, fostering innovation, and creating closer collaborations with stakeholders in the region. This move is aligned with the company's vision to be a local partner with a global reach, providing state-of-the-art solutions tailored to the unique needs of each market.

Earlier this year, Schneider Electric opened its first state-of-the-art distribution centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 7,000 sq m distribution centre is equipped with smart technologies and software that will enable faster, smoother, and more efficient transfer of goods across Schneider Electric’s distribution network in Saudi Arabia.

Schneider Electric also opened a new production line in Riyadh earlier this year, with an aim to manufacture hardware that will enhance the kingdom’s energy efficiency and sustainability efforts.

The establishment of the production line aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to position the country as a prominent global manufacturing hub and increase the export of energy management solutions to regional and global markets.
