Tadweer Group, a leader in unlocking the value of waste, and EMSTEEL Group, the UAE’s largest publicly listed steel and building materials company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the use of alternative fuels and raw materials in creating green building materials.

The agreement focuses on harnessing Tadweer Group’s production of Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF) and Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) in EMSTEEL Group’s plants, including their Al Ain Cement Plant.

Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of Tadweer Group, commented: “We are delighted to partner with EMSTEEL Group as we accelerate our efforts toward a sustainable future. At Tadweer Group, our commitment to decarbonising the sector goes hand in hand with our mission to transform waste into valuable resources and advance the circular economy.

These efforts bring us closer to achieving our goal of diverting 80% of Abu Dhabi’s waste from landfills by 2030, setting a new benchmark for environmental stewardship.”
