Gutmann ME Group Hosts Sustainability Thought Leaders for Special Discussions

The Gutmann ME Group recently hosted an event focused on aligning standardisation with sustainability. The event led by Dr Samar Alghalebi, the Group's Chief Sustainability Chair was a grand success with enriching insights and deliberations by industry experts.

Mr. Ahmad Alsalami, Principal Building Studies Specialist at Dubai Municipality, shared his expertise on how standardised building designs can optimise energy efficiency and water conservation. His insights underscored the importance of integrating sustainable practices into the core of building design.

Mr. Andreas Feil, First Secretary for Climate, Energy and Environment Policy at the German Embassy in Abu Dhabi, highlighted the crucial role of standardised processes in promoting the use of renewable, recycled, and sustainable materials. His perspective emphasised the need for cohesive policies to drive sustainable material adoption.

Mr. Amer Bin Ahmed, Vice Chairman of the Board at ASTM International, emphasized the critical importance of standardised blueprints in achieving long-term sustainability goals. His remarks showcased how standardised approaches can lead to significant advancements in sustainability.

Chairman, Mr. Nael Afieh, provided an overview of Gutmann ME Group’s sustainable standardization efforts, detailing our approach which includes modular design for easier disassembly, repair, and reuse; integration of energy-efficient features; and water-saving technologies. "Our, 'Design; Construct; Sustain', approach embodies our commitment to sustainability," he stated.

The event highlighted key aspects of the Group's sustainable practices, such as extending product lifespans, reducing waste, and optimizing material usage through standardized construction processes.
