NEOM, the sustainable development taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia, has revealed that 50,000 people in local communities have benefited from its social responsibility (SR) programs over the course of a year.
NEOM’s Annual Social Responsibility Report for 2023 outlines the number of beneficiaries receiving assistance from NEOM over 12 months through its various social responsibility programs, highlighting the project’s efforts in enhancing human livability through a series of pioneering schemes and initiatives.
The NEOM SR 2023 report reveals that from its programs, 26 projects were awarded to Tabuk companies, with 583 people from NEOM and Tabuk securing employment through its job creation initiatives.
Another key finding was that the social return on investment from the NEOM Seven Senses Program, one of NEOM SR’s signature programs, exceeded SAR 40 million.

It emphasizes NEOM's role in inspiring global social responsibility approaches through three tracks: Accelerating Progress, Embedding Value and Enhancing Quality of Life.
The report tells the stories of entrepreneurs, volunteers, NEOM employees and others who have benefited from NEOM SR programs and initiatives, as well as shows the successes attained and the challenges encountered along the way.
It also shines a light on how NEOM leveraged key partnerships to drive innovation and socioeconomic progress in local communities, demonstrating NEOM’s prominent role in promoting sustainable development and supporting Saudi Vision 2030.
The NEOM SR 2023 report reflects NEOM’s focus on sustainability throughout its programs and initiatives, which are designed to empower the community and the individual, as well as nurture national talent to drive long-term value.
NEOM introduced its first integrated volunteering ecosystem in 2023, engaging more than 1,300 volunteers across 68 different opportunities to serve their communities.
