The Saudi Telecom Company (stc) has won the prestigious Sustainability Middle East Champion of the Year (Corporate) Award 2023.

This award recognizes outstanding achievements of companies driving the sustainability agenda for the Middle East region. With climate change becoming an existential threat, net-zero (or low- carbon) sustainable operations are the need of the hour.

stc's ongoing efforts to achieve sustainable development and innovation goals is truly commendable. stc constantly strives to create an organization with an immense positive impact within Saudi Arabia by aligning its goals to the country’s 2030 vision.

stc has announced its commitment to contribute to planting one million trees across Saudi Arabia by 2030 as part of many initiatives that the group will launch throughout the Kingdom to enhance its Environmental commitment.

The intitiative will take off with the planting of 200,000 trees around the sites of communication towers in Taif Governorate representing 20% of the group’s main commitment.

stc seeks to boost innovations in climate adaptation by investing in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data and other modern, environmentally friendly technologies to reduce its carbon footprint across operations.
