UAE Delegation and NYC Mayor Discuss Mutual Engagement to Advance UN SDGs

The UAE government delegation had a fruitful conversation with New York City Mayor Eric Adams on the sidelines of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (UN HLPF) on Sustainable Development, which was organised by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

They also emphasised their participation in significant sustainable development initiatives in developing nations, as well as in experience exchange programmes that concentrate on the best public administration techniques with a special focus on the needs of coming generations.

The UAE delegation discussed their all-encompassing strategy for achieving the UN SDGs by 2030, both locally and globally. They gave a thorough rundown of the beneficial initiatives carried out by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in more than 100 nations.

The group also emphasised the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development's important efforts, which have been ongoing since 1971 and have focused particularly on aiding communities that are susceptible to climate change.

The former state senator learned about the UAE's outstanding example of collaboration, inventiveness, and continual development across numerous areas, including laws, legislation, infrastructure, services, and government plans, all of which are focused on a sustainable future.

The SDG17 goal of building partnerships and disseminating the UAE's successful examples with other countries was explained in detail by the UAE delegation.
