Egypt, Maersk to Cooperate on Clean Fuels for Ships

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has directed the government to cooperate with AP Moeller-Maersk, one of the world's largest container shipping lines, to establish a network to produce and distribute green energy and clean fuels for ships, a presidency spokesperson said on Monday.

The cooperation with Maersk intends to establish an integrated national network in Egypt to produce and distribute green fuel for ships, depending on new and renewable energy sources, in integration with the state’s efforts to preserve the environment.
