The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer) has signed an MoU with Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) to explore potential investment opportunities in the waste management and recycling sector.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Ali Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer of Tadweer, and Eng. Ziyad Al Shiha, Group CEO of the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), at SIRC's headquarters in Saudi Arabia, in the presence of a number of officials from both parties.
As per the MoU, both parties will seek to enhance collaboration and jointly explore investment opportunities and discuss joint options for adopting optimal recycling technology and solutions to treat and convert municipal solid waste into energy and sustainable aviation fuel.
Tadweer: Over 1 Million Tonnes of Products Recycled from Waste
The two parties will also explore opportunities for cooperation in training, capacity building, and creating awareness in the sector, in addition to conducting studies and research, and exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field.
Eng Ali Al Dhaheri, CEO, Tadweer, said: “This agreement is a significant step towards developing potential investment opportunities in the waste management sector in Saudi Arabia and internationally, by exchanging expertise and knowledge with SIRC to reach effective investment solutions for waste treatment.

Tadweer has recently signed 5 operations contracts with a value of over $545 million at EcoWASTE 2023Exhibition and Forum.
The contracts, which were signed with Alphamed Abu Dhabi LLC and Terberg RosRoca Vehicle Manufacturing, Beeah Sharjah Environment Company LLC, Averda Waste Management LLC, and JV Lavajet Al Ain/Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexport LLC (NBHH), cover solid waste collection and transportation services, public cleaning services in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and waste containers management and maintenance in Abu Dhabi.
