Collaboration Across Borders Key to Address Water Challenges Effectively
On World Water Day, it is essential to reflect on the significance of this occasion, particularly in a region where water scarcity presents a pressing challenge to be addressed, Mr Naji Skaf, President of MEIAA (Middle East & Türkiye, India, Africa, Australia & New Zealand for Xylem said.
“In our region, water is not just a resource; it's a symbol of unity and cooperation, binding communities and nations together in their efforts to ensure water security for all,” Mr Skaf added.
He continued, “In the UAE, a country synonymous with innovation and progress, the value of water is deeply ingrained in the national ethos. From innovative desalination plants along its coastline to ambitious water conservation initiatives, the UAE has been at the forefront of addressing water challenges.
"Together, let us forge ahead with determination and unity, striving towards a future where every individual has access to clean and reliable water.”
Mr Pietro Moro, Managing Director Middle East and Turkey for Xylem said that the UAE has made remarkable strides in water management, standing as a beacon of progress and setting an example for the region and the world.
