TRENDS Holds Conference on Sustainable Security in Middle East
TRENDS Research and Advisory Centre, in cooperation with the Atlantic Council, will hold its second annual conference, under the theme, "Sustainable Security of the Middle East: Climate Change, Challenges and Prospects" on 28th and 29th September.
The event will take place in Washington DC, with the participation of ministers and some 30 leading speakers.
This year, the two-day conference will discuss regional and international climate action efforts, explore environmental challenges, and present ambitious solutions. It will also discuss the latest opinions on how to address climate-related risks and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Stellantis Middle East Signs MoU with Siemens
During the conference, regional and international experts will express their opinions and stances and draft recommendations for policy-makers.
The conference will start with an opening speech by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, while the main speech will be delivered by David Livingstone, Senior Advisor to the US Special Envoy for Climate.
The conference, among other themes, will also discuss the diplomatic efforts of Middle Eastern countries to address climate change, multilateral green security initiatives, and other topics of concern related to international efforts to counter climate change.
