SunKiss, the UAE homegrown developer of sustainable and environmentally friendly suncare products, has announced a collaboration with SuperYacht Eco, the European-based supplier of bulk cleaning and personal body care formulations to a global database of yachts.

The new partnership will see the full range of Sunkiss sunscreens and aftersun care products being supplied to an extensive network of yachting clients via SuperYacht Eco, which prioritises reducing single-use plastics by focusing on ocean-friendly, mineral-based refill systems for cleaning, laundry and personal care for guests and crew members.

Since launching in 2020, SunKiss has developed a range of products for the yachting industry with a focus on driving sustainability and reducing plastic usage.

Using unique recyclable aluminium bottles, crew and guests can then take advantage of bespoke made-to-order refill dispensers, saving space, reducing waste onboard, and promoting the company’s refill and reuse mantra.

SunKiss has also developed Eco Refill, which provides yacht owners with a range of bathroom amenities in professional sizes, using 95% less packaging than standard-sized products and can be used in all public areas of the yacht.

In addition, the company has also launched a range of environmentally friendly turn-down gifts, including aftersun gel and moisturiser, lip balm and hand care nourishment – the ideal remedy after a day onboard a yacht.

Joanna Barclay, Managing Director of SunKiss, said: “Our goal has always been to provide a product that eliminates single-use plastic waste and creates a safer marine environment.

"As such, we are the only company in the world that can facilitate bulk orders of sunscreen and aftersun which are then used to refill our sustainable aluminium bottles used by both guests and crew onboard.

“In addition, the luxurious formula, which uses zinc and titanium oxide to create a microscopic mirror to reflect harmful rays and offers the highest sun filter available from plants, has been developed to be eco-friendly, vegan, alcohol, and paraben-free, making them safe and suitable for all requirements.”

SunKiss will capitalise on SuperYacht Eco’s two decades of yachting supply sector experience to extend its reach into Europe and the Caribbean, supporting the growing demand for ocean-friendly products in the yachting sector.

Hannah Russell, Head of Sales for SuperYacht Eco and founder of Viveco Yachts, a brand that shares the sustainable vision and goals of SunKiss, said: “After years of research and trying to find a sunscreen that meets the high standards required from product to production and packaging, we were very excited to find SunKiss and learn about this new innovative company.

“The problem we have faced when trying to find a sunscreen that meets our criteria is there was always an element lacking. Even when the product and production were good, it wouldn’t be refillable, or the packaging didn’t have the luxurious look and feel required on a yacht.

"Sunscreen is an absolute necessity onboard, so for us to offer a product that is good for people and the planet is a win-win.”
